How HP SitePrint Works
Discover how this powerful, all-in-one layout solution streamlines every step of your project — from setup to final execution.
Start with a 2D CAD file by exporting from your 3D model if needed. Add printing details using the HP Plug-in to create a robot-ready file, then upload it to the cloud for version control and easy sharing with field teams.
Before beginning, clear the layout area as you would for a manual layout; however, a broom-swept floor is not necessary. It is essential to ensure that the control points used for the Robotic Total Station setup are accurately marked, as the precision of the layout directly depends on the accuracy of these control points.
Set up the Robotic Total Station and accurately shoot the control points. Once completed, lock the Robotic Total Station onto the robot tracking prism. Then, connect the Robotic Total Station wirelessly to HP SitePrint using the user interface, such as a tablet, phone, or laptop.
Open the CAD file on the control panel, select the print area, and submit the job. Keep a clear line of sight between the robot tracking prism and the Robotic Total Station. Choose different inks as needed. The robot avoids obstacles and operates reliably on rough surfaces.
HP SitePrint cloud allows sharing of the latest CAD files with all stakeholders, so you can monitor job progress from the office and manage accounting reports.
